May 1, 2026 · 4 min read · Legal

Sweepstakes are legal in all 50 U.S. states, but only if the operator avoids the three elements of an illegal lottery: prize, chance, and consideration. Remove any one and it's a sweepstakes, not a lottery.
The three rules we follow **1. No purchase necessary.** Every paid entry path must have a free Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE). Ours is on the Official Rules page.
2. Official Rules published. Eligibility, entry period, prize value, odds, and winner selection are all spelled out before the draw opens.
3. Winner list available. Past winners and prize values are public on the Winners and Draw History pages.
Where it gets murky A few states (notably New York and Florida) require bond filings above certain prize values. Some prohibit specific prize categories. We comply or geo-restrict accordingly — see Rule 3 of the Official Rules for the current exclusion list.
