Slow & Steady — Rewards Programme Terms

    Last updated: September 30, 2026

Slow & Steady is a rewards programme, not a sweepstakes or a contest. There is no chance and no ranking: points you earn build a balance that you cash out for a gift card once it reaches $100.

    1. Joining

The programme is open to anyone eligible to hold a GiftChit account under the Terms of Service. Choose Slow & Steady as your reward track in your account settings. The change takes effect at the next 1:00 a.m. UTC, and you can change track once per calendar month (UTC).

    2. Earning points

While you are on Slow & Steady, each qualifying offer you complete earns 4 points for each $1 the advertiser pays for the completion, rounded down. Points earned are shown in your balance straight away.

    3. When points unlock

A newly earned point is pending for 14 days before it can be redeemed. That is the period in which an advertiser can still reverse the offer. Your balance page shows your total, the part you can redeem now, and when your next pending points unlock.

If an advertiser reverses an offer, the points it earned are deducted from your balance immediately, whether or not they have unlocked. This can take your balance below zero if you have already redeemed them; while it is below zero you cannot redeem, and later earnings make up the difference first.

    4. Cashing out

    • 10 points = $1 of gift card value, so 1,000 points = $100.
    • The smallest payout is $100; above that, payouts go up in $25 steps. Only unlocked points can be redeemed.
    • You choose the gift card brand from those offered and the email address it is delivered to.
    • You can have one payout request in progress at a time.
    • A payout request uses up the points it costs as soon as it is made. You can withdraw a request until the gift card has been sent, and its points are returned to your balance.

Gift cards have no cash value. Points cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to another account, or used for anything other than a gift card payout.

    5. Balances do not expire

Points do not expire, and your balance stays yours if you move to another reward track: it remains redeemable from your balance page, although you only add to it while you are on Slow & Steady. A balance under $100 cannot be paid out until it reaches that amount.

If we ever introduce an expiry for inactive balances, it will apply only to accounts opened after the change is announced.

    6. Closing an account and misuse

Points earned through fraud, multiple accounts or any breach of the Terms of Service may be removed, and a payout request may be refused or reversed for the same reasons. Points on an account that is terminated under the Terms of Service are forfeited. Taxes on gift cards received, if any, are your responsibility.
